What’s the most valuable skill you’ve learnt since attending Rise Training?

Since attending Rise Training, my most valuable skill has been accessing the computers. Being legally blind, I’ve had the support that I’ve needed. I’m managing to do the process of scanning documents as well as quality control.

What are your career goals?

I’m a mum, so I’ve got three kids. I’d like to still be a super active mum so I’m still wondering and searching for something that’s going to suit me and my vision impairment. I’m hoping that Rise is going to give me a good idea of what I can and can’t do and where I want to go with that. I do like to work with people, so something with people.

What’s your favourite part of the program so far?

My favourite part of the program is the whole space. The trainers, the management. Having the ability to come to a place and have the support you need. It’s just a really great, supportive environment to learn the skills we need to learn and get our open employment happening.
